Thoughts that are Made for India

I have been thinking about this for some time and I guess the time has come to put things into action. I guess the time has come to give something back to "Our beloved Mother India" as we all are comfortably settled without worrying about food, shelter and decent cloths. I am sure most of you would have encountered some thoughts about doing something to our Nation like bubbling energy but unable to channel that in positive way. I take this opportunity to ignite the fuel and focus the outcome to bring up some"Change" in our country.

We spend time to kill our boredom by involving activities like chatting, movies, reading, etc… I am sure, you all will agree that we need this kind of activities to ease the stress and keep us 'human beings' and to prevent as becoming one of the peripherals of the machines we work. Now My fiends, its time to add some more activities that will do good, not only for you but also to our fellow citizens and ultimately to "Mother India".

Everybody can bring a change to our country. However insignificant it might be, a change is a change. When all these insignificant changes accumulate, it brings a significant one. Some has money, some has time and lots of us have both, on top of it all of us have a wish to see our "Fatherland"as a developed nation, self sustained and prosperous. And, believe me my friends, its not with politicians, government or NGO(s). It can be made reality only, when people like us act. The deeds we perform are like "drops of water", the more we do, it becomes an Ocean, one day.

Here is what, I think we all can do with little effort to bring a change in our country and transform it as a place of our pride.

  • Whenever you get a chance "Vote", exercise your duty as an Indian citizen. If you cant then influence your family members to elect the right person
  • Do some homework and find about the politician that contest in your area
  • Form a group of like minded individuals in your area and highlight the need in your constituency and ask the politician how he will address these issues.
  • Create awareness about the importance to select the leader not by the amount of money he or she gives but by the reputation he has as a public servant.
  • Educate the youth and children nearby your area about the developments that happens in this world and show them the opportunities they can grab; especially if you are from rural areas.
  • Pay your taxes properly. We can evade some taxes by showing fake HRA receipts but then what is the difference between us and the corrupted people we are blaming on

Finally, Its "Awareness" that forms the first step to bring some change. So, please spread the news among the like minded people and add your suggestions about "How we can bring "The Change" to our country as comments or e-mail.

On behalf of all of us, I also take this moment to pay our homage to the innocent brothers and sisters who gave their life during the atrocities of the Mumbai attacks, our grievance to the people who lost their beloved ones and salutes to the brave NSG commandos who risked their lives to save the civilians.

Lets unite under one banner, only one, "Indian" and not let anybody divide us by religion, community, social status, gender, race or any other damn thing.

Saythayamaeva Jeyathae

Long live & Prosper, Mother India

Good thought!

So, are you going to be here this summer, for casting your vote?

In the last 10 years, I have exercised my voting rights only once. No proper ID so far :(
