We had our first presentation in the middle of the semester. We did very badly and we were knocked out within few minutes with the remark that the title doesn't comply with what we are trying to do, so either change the title or change your approach specific to the title. To add to this misery, our group is the only one that got such a pathetic remark.. We were frustrated, Naturally, Anyone will understand that. But to add fuel to the fire, our classmates started pulling our legs. So out of frustration, I spitted out this dry humor to my classmates
நாங்களும் பீனிக்ஸ் பறவைகள் தன்
சாம்பல் ஆவதர்க்காகவே உயிர்தெழுகிறோம்
We too, are Phoenix
Born from the flames
to become ashes
.......rough translation !!!
நாங்கள் பீனிக்ஸ் பறவைகள்
சாம்பலில் இருந்து உயிர்த்த செல்வங்கள்
Born from the ashes
Like the radiant flames
.........again, a rough translation !!!
OK, though both incidents are meant for fun at that time, I did realize from those events that there is only a thin line between being optimistic or pessimistic and like small changes in those words expressed gives us a completely opposite meaning, being optimistic requires only a small change in attitude. Also, optimistic outlook gives you an opportunity to approach life with enthusiasm not worries !!!
Life without setbacks and problems is like the world without women for men; dull and uninteresting. If we get everything without any difficulties then we may not appreciate it, so the problems make the life interesting. Also, they shape the people, what they are. So when presented a half glass milk; one can worry and lament for the half glass that's not there or appreciate that the glass is half full, not empty, everything depends on one's attitude towards life.
Pessimistic is the one, who worries where is the other half
Optimistic is the one, who appreciates that he has half
Opportunist grab the half from Pessimistic and make his full
Since half or empty, pessimistic will be always dull

@Nai Kutti, Its nice to know that you started liking the name we christened you !!!
I also remember the incident. As Aruna says, the flow is very good. An intersting article to read. I feel good and find it easy to relate when a common topic is shared.
Going down the memory lane....
